Pause and Snap
Previously, I posted about the idea of being a tourist in your own city (in the most positive sense possible). And lately, I've been doing one simple thing to embrace that idea: I take more pictures. This is easier now than it's ever been, what with camera phones and the prevalence of photo apps.
Taking pictures more often helps me to pause and notice the beauty in the small things; it brings back that sense of wonder I experience when travelling. Here are a few photos from some of my usual haunts in Winnipeg.
1 & 6: enjoying perfectly prepared cocktails at The Grove, 2: Walking by The Don, 3. Curling up with magazines and hot chocolate at home, 4: Doggy playdates at Sprockett's, 6: Saturday afternoon at the dog park, 7: Walking by The Legislative, 8: Latte at Thom Bargen, 9: Cappuccino to go from Parlour |
Thanks for following Fully Belly, Worn Soles on Instagram. I'd love for you to share the beautiful things in your everyday life with me too!
NOTE: Sorry for the lateness of this post. I've been taking full advantage of the Victoria Day long weekend up here in Canada. (Post to follow in the next few weeks.)
