Take Pride

A few weeks back, Chris and I joined Winnipeg's Pride celebration at The Forks. We've also attended Pride festivities in Rome, and we're (hypothetically still) planning on visiting London during Pride week in 2014. While I've never planned a trip around Pride, if I'm around during a Pride celebration, I always make it a point to at least catch a glimpse.

No matter your sexual orientation, Pride can be a true blast. It offers great music and dancing, food trucks, and some of the best people watching I've come across. Keep your eyes open and you'll see insane costumes, a lot of exposed skin and a few breath-takingly beautiful drag queens.

It's also a great opportunity to show your support for human rights. Celebrate how far we've come while recognizing the long road ahead.
